Question about Rim size. I currently have 15"x10" rims on a new set of 15"x33" tires. I'm getting ready to purchase a new set of rims. Would 15"x8" be a better size, or should I stay with the 15"x10" rims?

33"x12.5"x15"? IMHO I would stick with 10" wheels, 12.5" is a little too wide for an 8" wheel.

If they are 33x10.5x15 a 8" rim would be ok.
Some people do run 8" rims with 12.5's but I think it pulls the sidewalls in to far. Some think it helps from breaking a bead when aired down though.

I'll be the exception to that :D

I've ran 33x12.5's on 8" rims for years and there are several reasons I like them.

1. You can hold a bead better at lower pressure then you can with a wider rim.
2. The 8" rim is far less exposed to rocks and other debris then a 10" rim.
3. If you do break a bead, it is much easier to re-seat it on an 8" rim then a 10" rim....ask me why I know this.

Well, that's 3 reasons anyways.... :D

Agreed on all points. And I think they look better to boot.

When getting wheels, I look at the manufacturer's specs for the tires. I try to keep the wheel on the narrow side of the recommended range if at all possible.
