Engine RT Off-Road Valve Cover
Has anyone used one of these recently?
RT35004.
I had the OEM plastic one, which was leaking a bit, but nothing severe.
I'm doing a Howell install, so I ordered an RT via Amazon a while ago to clean things up, and just installed it today.
I used the stock 1/4 bolts on the passenger side, and the RT-supplied Allen-head bolts on the front and rear.
On the driver's side, I decided to use the 5 X washer-nuts from the plastic cover.
Unlike the OEM cover, the RT cover casting seems to have been trimmed, so these don't even make contact with the new cover.
There are only two bolt holes on the driver side of the cover, which line up with holes on my cylinder head seem to be 5/16, but not -18, which came with the kit.
Even if I tapped the hole to -18, there are only 2 holes on the driver side, which doesn't seem to be enough.
Anyone else have this problem?
The washer nuts sat quite nicely on this lip with the plastic cover.
