i have 2 and half inch lift with 285 tires. i am thinking of doing a SOA lift and running 35 or 36 inch tires. the question is will the 20 and 30 hold up to those tires and will the motor and Transmission be enough. i will be doing moderate off roading and driving around the street any suggestions

The 20 with 1 piece axles and the 30 will hold up IF your easy on the skinny peddle.
35's will rub if you don't do some body trimming (you need to open the wheelwells up to tj flair size)
You will also need 4:56 or 4:88 gears with 35's

Pull the wheel and hub cap off if there is a shaft coming out of the center of the drum with a crown nut and cotter pin on it then you have 2pc axles, if its smooth somebody put a 1pc kit in it.
