Safari top

Some years back I bought a safari top for my CJ7 . It is no good anymore and I want a new one. I do not see it in quadratec or Morris. I have the bar that allows it to extend and cover the back seat. All the safari tops I see are for newer jeeps not cj's.

Sounds to me like you are talking about the Bestop traditional style bikini top:

I bought one years ago from some company in California, I think it was called a Maui top. It came with a bar that attached to the standard CJ rollbar on the angled bars in the back and up to the back of the top. It then had straps coming down to the footman loops in the rear corners of the tub. Sound like the one?

Unfortunately, I think OMIX-ADA is the only one who makes them now... so the quality has a decent chance of being sub-par:

That looks like mine. Works pretty well keeping the AZ sun off my bald head....
