I was looking at my roll bar today, and i know my 97 tj soundbar attached to the bar over your head, or i believe it did, I know lots attach to the bars going down the sides
has anyone got one to work, oem or aftermarket,
seems some fabbed up mounts and it would not be that hard to get it mounted

bungie cords and zip ties!
:D

my buddy had one that attached by bolts to the roll bar. im not sure if it supposed to be that way and i dont think he made it like that, but, thats how it is. i believe the PO just drilled and tapped the bar somehow or maybe bolted all the way through. seemed like it should have been mounted on rubber mounts of some sorts to dampen vibrations / distortions.

sorry i dont have any helpful info...just bored and responding to posts lol

Well actually you did help.
Do you know if it was a OEM ones or a Aftermarket one?

I have thought about the same thing. my idea was something pulled from a wake board boat.. i know some of the sound bars on those have a hose clamp type latching, so my thought was that the hose clamp idea would work well on the cj's single bar. i remember when i first got into taking care of mine they were producing some for the cj's and now i cant find one at all. some alternatives to the bar idea that i have came up with might give you some ideas. I have all of my interior out right now so i and probably going to fab my seat brackets and put two marine grade 6 1/2 bazooka's under the seats. My anti theft device will be modifying my seat brackets with welding metal two strips of metal like top and bottom both front and back so literally you would have to take the seats out to get them..... i also know that there is an after market dash pad that has two smaller speakers.. also i found a box to sit behind the gear shifters and i think a set of tweeters above the mirror...... just some idea's....
