My jeep had a hodge podge of mixed brakes when I bought it. After trying to match up and guess. I decided to bite the bullet and just get a brake system that I knew what was what. I purchase the SSBC disk brakes system and after reading the installation instructions. I was confused as hell. I contacted SSBC and asked for clearer instructions and the exploded view that was suppose to be included. Their reply was the instructions is all they have. Searching the internet, I came up with nothing. So, this is my attempt to help someone out in the future who is trying to install this kit. Disclaimer***** I am not a photographer or mechanic, so things may look alittle crude as far as photos go.The kit comes with a check list and I went through that to make sure i had everything. There were actually some extra brackets that were throwing me. After checking off everything i got all the items needed according to the packing list. The axle plate has tapered holes it looked like so i put them in for the best fit

This is the basic set of brackets with the spacers and locking nuts

Spacers added

caliper arms added. Then the lock nuts

Both brackets. one is tightened and torqued to 65-70 ft lbs. (as per instructions) this is easier to do if you mount it to the axle.

and a side view...

Cleaning off the 90w that was coming out. I liberally applied some silicone gasket sealer and installed the bracket and the warn hub.

Then the caliper

Then the brake line

And put the locking hub back together. (almost forgot the axle itself) was looking at the innerds of the hub trying to think whats looked wrong....No axle.:D

Now just have to do the other side and bleed.
Still have to finish the parking brake cables. The ones that were on there are huge and will not fit the SSBC calipers. I think some stock cables will work.
Hope this helps someone in the future. Thanks for looking.

I put the same kit on my jeep, only for one piece axles, from the pics it looks right. The only thing I had to do was change park brake cables, the stock ones would not work. I contacted SSBC, they said to get a Lokar set of cables, so I contacted Lokar, got cables. They function but I can't but enough pressure to hold my jeep. I installed a Mico brake for park brake.

Thanks.
What about the proportioning valve and master cylinder? Were you able to keep OEM?
Let us know how your parking brakes work out.

Excellent write up. Did you need to shim the calipers after the install? Mine needed a small adjustment to center them on the rotor.

It looks like it might take one or so to get it centered. I still have the other side to do and research the parking brake cables. Too much conflicting info out there.
