Hey all, I have an off brand chinesium generator here that has me pulling my hair out, (again) It runs fine cold for a few minutes but as soon as it warms up it stalls, when it does it will usually restart easy enough, but stalls right out again, (maybe 8-10 seconds later). I had to replace the original tank on it due to it having rusted inside and I broke the petcock off the bottom when removing the tank to try to clean it out. It was all sludged up to the point the it wouldn't flow so I thought that was the whole problem but it still does it even with the new tank and fresh fuel. I cant get a socket on the plug to get it out, no matter what size I try its the wrong size. I had to replace the carb once on this because it sat with old gas in it for a couple years, but this time I am pretty sure the gas was shut off. Does this sound like old fuel drying in the carb or something more?

I have a 2 cycle gas blower that was dying after a very short time of running. Got a new plug and that didn’t help. Replaced the old fuel lines. Finally took it apart and didn’t really find any problems. Finally decided to try anew coil and that fixed my problem. Yours sound more like a fuel problem, but you never know.

Sounds like a carb issue. Runs with the choke but as soon as the choke comes off it dies

Only Running with the Choke On or in Some Degree of On is a Sign of a Vacuum Leak !
Check all Carb Base Fasteners, intake gaskets, vacuum lines.....

Yep - vacuum leak of fuel flow problem, requiring less air coming in to keep running. If positive no issue with any filter/screen inside the tank blocking fuel flow, then like "Jeep Soup" said, check for vacuum leaks (spray some starter fluid around the carb mounting while it's running to check for surges) or disassemble carb and clean thoroughly, including running a push pin or sewing needle through the small jet holes.
