OK, since the hot side was jumped and we have same result...it's not the delivery side. Put the jumper back on the positive side. Make a jumper for the negative pole on the DUI. Disconnect the tach and the negative line. Run a negative jumper to the block and leave the tach disconnected. See if it runs. If it still doesn't run, then I think the problem must be at the fuse block.

If it runs until you hook the tach back up, then the tach circuit (likely the tach) is the problem.

Wow, see you found the 'robber'! Who'd of thought that it was an 'add-in'. Oh well, at least I don't feel too bad since it was an intermittent electrical disconnect...Now go get it tuned right!

Yes it was in the fuse block.
