Stock carb question

I basically did the same thing. I rebuilt the engine, but thought that someday I might want to go with EFI. I rebuilt using stock heads, cam, etc. At the time I did this rebuild, pretty much all of the aftermarket EFI's were 4bbl design. I installed an Edelbrock 4bbl high rise manifold, but used an adapter to install the MC2100. Shortly after this, Holley came out with a 2bbl version of their Sniper. Oh well!
Point I am trying to make is, if you plan to modify the engine in the future where a 4bbl carb makes sense, you can install a 4bbl manifold now, use an adapter to run the engine on the more appropriate 2bbl, and when you do the modifications to the engine, you can just remove the adapter and install a 4bbl.
