Hey all, my CJ7 wanders a bit and I am wondering if the shackles are stock or lift shackles? Does anyone know what the stock bolt to bolt measurement is on a front shackle?

3 inches eye to eye

The picture you posted isn't a stock CJ shackle

They are 3-3/4" eye to eye. Would this be enough to affect the caster?
I do not see any shims under the leaf springs.
Naw...that shouldnt bother your castor. Have you checked things like ball joints, wheel bearings, bushings, ubolts, tre's?

I agree with CJim7

Thanks guys, it appears that my power steering box is leaking and I can see some movement side to side of the output shaft when the steering wheel is rocked. I guess I need a new steering box...

Check your mounting bracket and it's bolts. The brackets are notoriously weak. And I doubt the box is broken at it's mounts or you'd have a serious leak that would quickly drain the fluid. A brace or a new box mount may be in order. Could just be a seal and I believe you can get rebuild kits for those.
I ran 5 1/2" bolt to bolt ConFer shackles for years without any caster issues. Once I added 2 1/2" lift springs is when it became a noticeable problem.

The box is leaking, and you can see the output shaft move side to side when the steering wheel is turned...posted another thread on which donor box to use...they want $250 up here for a rebuilt one...
