Swapping t150/Dana 20 to t176/Dana 300

Swapping t150/Dana 20 to t176/Dana 300
It just looks like it should go the other way to me.

I agree, looking at this shifter kit here:https://www.ebay.com/itm/JEEP-SALE-...=item2cd2fa77f9:g:3XMAAOSwRLZUA5hP:rk:18:pf:0.
It does appear that the shifter retainer holds the shifter in place and the shifter could be reversed. You have to take it apart anyway. On my T-18 , I bent and shortened the shifter about a foot since it since the tranny came out of a school bus. Drilled and tapped the cut off end for a shift knob. I forget how the lid came off though.

It does look that way. Everything bolts up fine so I'm not sure what to think.

I'd pull it and turn it around. What do you have to lose it's easy to do?

Can you pull the pin and rotate the shifter 180 deg or do I have to pull the top case off to rotate the shifter?

No all you have to do is push down on the metal part at the base of the shifter and turn it and it will pop up then pull the shifter up out of the Transmission and turn it around and reverse its real easy.

Great video I pulled it and switched it. Way way better now. Thanks guys, let's just say I wished I had known that when I initially did the swap. Would have made life easier for me to say the least.
