Finally started making headway on my restore. I got the new AMC 304 done and a new clutch kit but still needed a new Transmission . I thought I'd forgo paying for a rebuild on the T-150 , so I picked up one this past weekend from a guy that says it was working when he pulled it. I had popped the cover and didn't see any shavings in it and it looked clean. It also seemed to turn well and the shaft was tight. It came with the Transfer Case even though I didn't need it. It looked good until I got it home and pulled the Transfer Case off. The main shaft pulled out of the main drive gear shaft and all the roller bearings fell in to the housing. What holds that shaft in so it doesn't pull out? I was going to replace the roller bearings but wasn't sure which shaft to pull to get to them. Any thoughts or advice on how to approach this? I was hoping not to do a complete rebuild.
