Trans T15 shifter frozen up

Have you changed the oil? If so start up the CJ in neutral to circulate the oil. Once it has run for a while try again to move the shifter. If it's in gear put the Transfer Case in neutral.
If you can't do what's above or it doesn't work then this will take some investigating. Your going need to take off the Transmission access panel in the floor and pull the shifter to make a determination. It can actually be a shifter issue or a Transmission issue. 1st thing is to figure out which part is frozen.
What ever you do, do not put a bunch of pressure on that long shift lever as you could do more damage such as bending a shift fork.
