I tried to take the shift knob off of my T-176 and the shaft broke off flush with the bottom of the knob. It appears that a hole was drilled and tapped at the end of the shift lever, a piece of all-thread was inserted into the end, and then the shift knob was screwed on to the all-thread. It doesn’t appear that the end of the shift lever was turned down and then threaded. Has anybody had any experience with this? Tried to search for this, but didn’t find anything. Thanks.
