I may have screwed up big time.
Recently got a rebuilt engine with a 1978 block. But now i'm not sure my T-176 will bolt up to it. Seems CJ's didn't use the 176 until 1980. Pre 1980 used the T-150 .
I have the T-150 as well but it won't bolt up to my Dana 300 Transfer Case .
I thought I had done all my homework, but evidently not.
After more research looks like the 1980 clutch uses a 1.125" shaft the pre 1980 is 1 1/16. I don't know what the other differences are, but the pre 1980's clutches are different than the 1980 clutch.
Anyone know if the T-176 will bolt up to my engine. What modifications will it need? different bushing? or is it even possible?
