team rush on howell system

Just completed the howell FI upgrade a few months ago and want to do the team rush. I've looked through the sticky here and read a few other articles.

Anything I should look out for because I have the howell FI system.

Any recommendations on plug wires? Should I do the coil/ignition box ugprade?

Have a slight miss now so thought I would do this.

With the Howell t.b.i. kit you might have triggered a check engine light providing you installed it to determine the cause of your miss. Personally, I think the Team Rush setup works great with the Howell kit. The oem coil will work fine providing it still works properly, I have switched to the Ford type anyway. I am also using the Echlin brand ignition control module, which does cost a few bucks more. I don't think ignition wires are critical, just get good ones. I also paid a few bucks more and got the MSD wires. That Team Rush GM ignition module upgrade I hear makes for a little harder starting, and is not smog legal where I am from, so I can't comment on that. On that Howell system you might want to make sure you have their recommended fuel pressure and have full battery voltage going to the fuel pump.
