when i got my CJ it was in about 40 different boxes....Thanks to the PO most small parts have been lost, the hardware i need mounts the cable ends to the duct and heaterbox i cant find any. has anyone come across site that have NEW hardware for the cable pulls?? any pictures of your heater cables would be very helpful 77CJ7 thanks.

What you are looking for is the slightly rusty tabs that 'clamp' the control cables. Two are used, the cable that goes to the fresh air plenum is held in place with a grooved grommet that is attached to the cable.

Bear in mind, that the 76-77 CJ were the only years to use this particular heater (although it is similar to the 72-75 years), so you'll need to do some junkyarding. I know of NO source for NOS or aftermarket parts for these heaters. MTS (http://www.mtscompany.com/airbox.htm) carries some reproduction items (I have one of their reproduction fresh air boxes, and my order their cable to check them out), but not the clamps. Check with Davey's Jeeps: D A V E Y S J E E P S . C O M - Specializing in Jeeps & Jeep Parts They may have them.

I believe I may have a couple in my basement if they don't.

Thanks Hack. that helps i think i might try to make some. if you have a chance could you post picks of the clamps off so maybe i could get a better idea on the bends i will have to try and produce lol. thanks for all the help. i sure am glad i found this site its been a real help getting my 77CJ7 together, I bought it from the PO mostly in boxes.
