So today I am driving the CJ, and the gas, temp, and oil pressure gauges all go kaput on me. All three at the same time die on me. I am about clueless on electrical so I will probably take it to a shop but I am curious if it could be a simple fix, such as a fuse. All three crapping out on me at one time has me scratching my head.

First word that pops into my head is ground. They’re notorious for dropping grounds

AMC was notorious for grounding everything via mounting studies. Tub was grounded to frame. Dash is grounded to tub via mounting bolts. Gauges are grounded to dash via mounting studs. MANY opportunities to drop a ground. The fact you lost two gauges in the cluster and one standalone gauge at the same time says it’s not a single ground. If memory serves the temp and fuel gauges get their ground thru the cluster body........ First take the pressure gauge off the dash, make sure the threaded mounting studs are clean, reattach and see if it comes back. Most will end up running a dedicated ground circuit to the dash and grounding all gauges to that.

A bus bar on the cabin side of the firewall is a handy way to do it...will give you extra slots for things in the future. I ended up running everything dedicated to it on mine. Saves a ton of headaches

Grind underneath to shiny and hit it with some dielectric grease
