My 74 came with a Best Top, i believe the Tiger top. I ordered the front rod retainers for the horizontal rods, an installed them. when I close the door on the passenger side, the door frame and the horizontal rod take up the same space and its binding, making the door hard to close, After opening and shutting the door a few times, the plastic rod holder broke, and the horizontal rod is no longer secured. I did check to make sure I have the correct door hinges. I didn't install the top or I could blame myself lol.

Has anyone ever had issues with these doors? I had a tiger top on my 53 CJ3b , and the doors seemed to fit a little better, but did not seal as well as these do.

I had ideas to maybe "tweak" the door frame a little to see if that would help. Also not sure if the upper door mounting arm on the door itself was in the correct location, maybe off a little?

Thank you

I have had a couple of those Tiger Tops only because I didn't want all those buttons exposed along the outer bed and the Super Tops were quite a bit more. I am thinking the part you broke is called a "front door strike" looking at the instruction sheet. My first guess would be that the windshield is not set correctly, but I do have a CJ7 which could be a lot different setup. I do have some extra front door strikes if you need them and can't get any. A pic would help here also.
