2006 Commander 4.7L
So bought this CJ7 . Had an engine fire. Reqired it couldn't get it to start. Nutter and she ran. Serious oil blow by and low psi on two of the cylinders. Pulled the motor, rebuilt it. When I pulled it found that two of the cyclinders had broken rings.
Anywho, rebuilt it, had cyclinders honed, new rings, bearings, valve job. Got it back together and in the jeep.
Now I can't get then thing to start. I have rechecked the distributor to the pistons for top dead center. I have fire on spark plugs. Gas almost blowing out of the top of the carb. I pulled a spark plug and it was dry and no smell of gas.
I pulled the intake and it seems to have gas flowing.
I am at a loss. I only thing left is pull the motor again and check the cam to crank timing. Any ideas ?
I have another tread "Exhaust" touching on this topic.
