Awhile back I was looking for 33s and was stunned at how much new tires run these days. I ended up getting a really good deal on 5 barely used 33 x 12.5 x 15 Goodyear MTRS for $700. Now Im looking for 35s and they are $260 a tire? I guess I should be thankful that I can forget about a spare and use one of mine but man , :censored:

:)Hey Pete,......... feel this Pain !!..........Goodyear Eagles 36x17.00x16 on beadlocks we swap them side to side every 3 runs good for about 15 runs total or once the sidewall starts to go away.......which shows up quickly when the car slows down at the 60ft clocks.
$600 a tire $1200 a pair..............

:D:D:D:D

Yea tire prices have really gone up in the last year or so. :(
It seems like 35's and up have gone up even more than the smaller flavor.

Two tires in Nov. for the M5 were $500 each (285/35ZR19) and a rim was $1000. I was not happy!

I don't remember what my 33's and rims were about 13 years ago but I'm sure I'll get a shock when I price them again!

:) - At least the ZR19's are rated for 240 mph even if the car will only do 204... :chug:

I paid around 700 mounted and balanced for my 33x12.5x15 MTRs last year. Bought them with the GY rebate and got 160 bucks off. Also got a deal at the local tire place. The rebate is still going on if you are interested.

Set of four Michelin LTX AS 255 70R17's for my company truck was $1,200 mounted and balanced. Ten ply. Only tire I have gotten more than 45k miles out of with hiway and lease road driving. (That's about 9 months for me)

This won't be too expensive Dear! That's what I keep saying. Over and over again.

Gotta admit that looks like its worth the $100 plus a pass on the fun meter though. :chug:

I considered 33s for a minute. If Im gonna buy a new set may as well go 35s. The Mtrs should give me a good life span... I hope :)

What mods can I do to my Cj to get it to 204? :D

How did you manage $160? It comes up as $80 for 4 for me?

Thats where I'll probably what I'll end up spending.

Paid $1500 for my K2's on my JK, 35's (technically 34.5's)

Yeah and for that money you think theyd give you a true 35.

That's what gets me, you don't even get what you pay for.

Get the goodyear credit card. Doubles the rebate instantly. You get the 160 in the mail. I got the card and paid the tires off immediately. It was a fast 160 bucks off a set of four. Awesome tires. I love them. Great in the woods and actually really good on the street.

For my truck and suburban I'm getting copper. Hadn't heard anyone mention these. But I love them never had a problem but I pay about AMC 150 a piece. Cooper discoverer ATR and a/T3

They have better off road ones but haven't looked yet. Don't want to give myself a heart attack. I liked the Goodyear wrangler Silent armor. But at around 200 a piece ouch

There were only two tires I was considering anymore. The Goodyear MTR's and the Mickey Thompson MTZ's. Looks like its gonna be the Goodyears.
