Torque converter/idle issues

So my cj idles perfect since I rebuilt the carb but when I put her in drive she jerks and wants to die until I give it gas. Same thing happens when I come to a stop. That's the only issue I'm having. I did try to raise the idle on the carb but didn't help. Could this all be a converter issue? Thanks

I'm curious to see the respones you get on this. I have never heard of a converter going out like that but since Iv'e been on here I have heard alot of things I've never heard before.

Since I am new to the cj world and I'm not much of a mechanic could someone tell me what the benefits of a team rush upgrade is and how they've benefited from it? Thanks

The idle solenoid is what controls idle on the later CJs:Sol-Vac

Adjust your idle screws while the tranny is in Drive.
Make sure you have a good e brake, otherwise you won't be happy(block the wheels too).
I always adjust a carb for strongest vacuum signal.
