torque flight 727 from a 360 wagoner to a cj?

I'm trying to ask a question about removing the stack 77 3speed in my 77golden eagle for an automatic,getting older and just don't off-road it as it was used in the past
Question is I found a torque flight 727 from a 360 wagoner and was wondering if I could use it in my 77 AMC 304

I would first suggest moving your post into the Drivetrain section so readers can see it. I am pretty sure the 727 will fit also.

The first automatics used in Jeeps were the GM Turbo 400 . After a few years of that Jeeps used the TF727. The TH400 was only mated to the QuadraTrac . the TF's were mated to the Dana 300 . I assume your putting this in a CJ7 as the automatic will not fit in a CJ5 . So, yes it should fit, but you may need a different Transfer Case .

It will fit in a 75 CJ5 .
The front driveshaft is angled out or away from the 727 Transmission pan area with a center support type bearing before continuing on to the front axle.
The rear driveshaft is very short.
