I'm looking to put an automatic Transmission in my CJ5 that would bolt up to a chevy v6 and also find a decent Transfer Case unless i could use the on ei already have. how hard would that be and would the angle of the drive shaft be of any concern?

Any of the chevy auto's should bolt up. You will need an adapter for the tc.
You will have driveline problems though with the CJ5 being so short.
With you having a V6 you might be able to move the motor as far forward as
you can and get away with it.

Even after moving the engine as forward as you can, look into CV drive shafts.

I would go with a Dana 20 tcase s that is about as short as you can go
now depending on lift, yes driveshaft issues are going have to be addressed.
However, if you really need that auto, then the issues will be a one time item to get over and you will love the jeep afterward.
