Trans Noise

I started getting some noise and can't figure out what it is, T-150 3 speed.
Not sure if you can hear it, but I sure can.

The noise starts around 40 mph, I can put in the clutch and/or take it out of gear and still hear it.

Throwout bearing maybe, I really think I am due for a new clutch.

Ideas?

Also, if I drop the Transmission and install a new clutch kit is it worth it to install a new bearing kit? and whats involved with that.

Throwout bearing noise will cease when you depress the clutch. If your clutch is worn it can shudder when you slowly release the pedal and you should be able to feel it slipping, like rpms rising to fast upon acceleration. Make sure your tranny and Transfer Case fluid is good and full. There should be around 1 1/4" freeplay on the clutch pedal.

Then its not the bearing. It sounds like a squealing noise and still can be head with the clutch in and out of gear. This weekend I will change the Transmission fluid, napa GL4 I think is correct.
