cool! thats what I was hoping...Thanks!

83 had only one option. A 300.

I think its something else:confused:, im not finding that ziptie on the parts list for the 300':poke:

thats what I thought but I was looking thru some reference pages brock linked up and it said the Dana 20 and the 300 were options then. So I was confuzed as well as wiped out.

FF the zip ties were a special order heavy duty option package. they were holding the radiator in/on as well...

Someone may correct me here, but aside from a full time option, there were no Transfer Case options, only transmissons. Anyhoo..from 1972-1979, (the "long nose" CJ era) the only TC offered was the Dana 20 , and from 1980- 1986 it was the Dana 300 . Before that the offering was the Spicer model 18.

x2 what coldwater said.
Having said that I believe the double white cable tie tail housing denotes the coveted Dana 301.:D

How about the Zips holding (or trying to hold) the engine in place in lieu of any working motor mounts? :) Man, this thing is a train wreck...
