I'm in the process of replacing the standard Jeep/Omix guages with upgraded guages with the same look. I found amp and oil guages from Autometer the look good and fit the holes perfectly, but cant find a Tach and Clock to fit those holes which are slightly bigger. Has anyone out there found quality Tach and Clock guages to fit in a standard Jeep CJ dash panel?

I got a tach and clock off of Ebay. The tach is great, I haven't had any problems. The clock is a piece of :dung:. I bought one, it didn't work. I called and had it replaced. They replaced it without question. I installed the second one. It worked for about three hours. It hasn't moved since. I really didn't need the clock. I just wanted it to fill the hole. If I can find the receipt for the tach, I'll let you know who I bought it from.

tireczar - I emailed the guy I got my tach from. This was his response:

ORDER ONE BY CALLING US AFTER 7/13 AS WE ARE ON VACATION.

His name is Bob Witkoff. I don't have the name of his company. I hope this helps.

Thanks Nitor. I had the same problem with the clock. That's why I want to replace anything that has Omix on it.

I replaced my guages in my CJ7 with Equus guages. I did away with my fuel and temp. in the speedo and placed them in the other holes. I have my fuel and volt in the 2" holes and placed oil and temp. in the larger holes with guages that look like factory. Got them all off ebay...

Any pictures?

So the fuel and temp are on either side of the steering wheel, above the light and windshield wiper switches? Looks good.

The water temp is on the left of the steering wheel and oil is on the right. Then my fuel level and volt are right of the speedo. I need a stainless glove box door...I still need to wire my dash lights.

Like I said, it looks good.:D

I pulled my guages from an old Scout, even had an altimeter, snagged it to cause it
was cool. I comb the junk yard from time to time for cool odds and ends that pop up.
