Was wondering if there is a basic vaccum hose lay out(no-emissions) for the 78 jc5 Inline 6 i believe its a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l . All the hoses were gone when i got it so starting fresh:cool:

Hey Elwood

Thanks for sharing the vac info. I have been looking for this same info for some time now. What other info do you have on a 79 CJ5 ?

hey I did some digging and found out the motor im working with is a 232 not a 258 any differences or problems i should know about?

No difference at all hose routing, the only difference between the AMC 232 i6 and AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l is a slightly longer stroke and a larger bore. Otherwise it's basically the exact same engine.

You're welcome :chug: It depends, what are you looking for?

A 1979 TSM would be great. I found a 1976 TSM online. However, I'm not sure if a 76 jeep TSM and would work for a 79 jeep. Would a 76 TSM cover a 79?

Honeslty, I can't give you a positive answer to that one. The best place to scope out factory service manuals is either eBay, possibly amazon, or I have seen them on Collins Bros Jeep website as well.
