Hey all, here is my problem. 1980 CJ7 AMC 304 with headers and side exhaust. Apparently must be aircared here in BC. I do not have a VIN plate attached to the wiper moter. Apparently there needs to be a vin plate on the vehicle that is veiwable by an officer without climbing under the vehicle. I also cannot find the vin on the frame above the right leaf spring mount but will grind some rust away on the weekend. I can apply for a BC issued VIN but they must sight the frame vin...and I must pay about $100.00...$25 for the vin and up to $75 to apply it. After all this it will probably fail aircare anyway. Thought about collector plates but very hard to get here. Your thoughts?

In a 1980 CJ the VIN Plate “sticker” is stuck to the inside of the tub on the driver’s side. With the door open stand at the edge of the opening looking into the jeep. Bend over (yes I said bend over, ha ha) and with your head upside down look at the inside wall of the tub under the door opening. You should see the sticker place upside down so it can be easily read when your head is upside down. Also there should be a metal VIN plate on the firewall around the brake master cylinder.
