We’ve been working on Jeep CJs for over a decade now, from full restorations to drivability upgrades and everything in between. Over the years we’ve seen the same issues come up again and again—parts that don’t fit right, worn-out factory components, and upgrades that create new problems instead of solving them.
Most of what we build in the shop comes from solving those problems on real vehicles not in computer programs. After doing the same fixes repeatedly, we started turning them into proper aftermarket parts that install clean, work correctly, and hold up over time. Most parts get built on the owners jeep first and put through extreme testing on and off road. Some of which can be seen on YouTube just look for Vintage 4WD.
We recently have been able to put everything in one place:
vintage4wd.org
Every part on the site is built and tested on CJ builds. We install them, run them, and adjust them until they work the way they should before offering them.
The goal isn’t to change what these Jeeps are, it’s to make them easier and safer to drive. A lot of original CJ parts are worn out or don’t work well with upgrades like disc brakes, power steering, EFI, or engine swaps. Fixing them with stock parts usually leads to the same issues again. Upgrading the right areas makes them more reliable and more usable without losing what makes them a CJ.
Our goal is to provide the highest quality upgrades and quality of life upgrades that are able to be produced. With keeping the feel of what a Jeep CJ truly is at its core.
The site is simple—just aftermarket 4WD parts that solve real fitment, clearance, and reliability issues, that we keep seeing during builds.
More parts will get added as projects move through the shop and new solutions come together.
If you looking for a certain upgrade or have an idea of an upgrade you would like to have designed. Email the owner at vintage4wd@gmail.com
