Weber stall

Hey everyone!! Weather is getting mighty beautiful down here in Georgia . I got the weber installed with the pressure regulator and set up by my mechanic today. My only complaint is that if I'm cruising in third or fourth and press the clutch in as I'm coming up to the light it sputters and stalls. My mechanic was saying that I need to get a new distributor, one with a vacuum advance. Could that be the problem?

I kinda agree with the mech. but i wouldn't say you need a new one unless the old one is going out, but i would upgrade the ignition 300cfms? could use a hotter spark, i went with the D.U.I distributor, it hooks up really really easy and for plug and play its a pretty sweet set up.

what fuel pressure are you running?
do you have your fuel filter clocked?
do you have a good fuel return?
do you have good throttle return action?
personally i would check the plugs and gap, pull out the vacuum gauge,timing light,multi-meter, and do a full on tune. this is something you might want to get used to doing, when i had my weber... it liked to be tuned often

Rotate the regulator to one notch higher.

You can not install new or upgrade systems and expect them to run correctly without doing a tuneup.
Your dist doesn't have an advance? post up a pic. I don't believe it!
