Glad to join. Looking forward to learning from everyone. I have a CJ5 , 1970. having trouble finding a ring and pinion for a Dana 25/27 front differential. (well, one that isn't almost 600$) I found the Dana 44 ring and pinion for 144. with a 3.73 ratio. Not looking to rock climb but to take on road trips and visiting my son and grandson in Alabama. I have ordered parts to start on the axles and brakes and figured I would replace the ring and pinion while I had the rest of the axles apart. any advise or shortcuts for doing a disc brake conversion is appreciated. I have ordered brackets and the required parts following Brennan's website. Have a great day.

Thanks for the add! New to the Jeep community as I accumulated an 82 CJ7 for the wife but I will be the one working on it lol. Mine isn't as good of shape as some of y'alls jeeps but it will slowly get there. I def love the price alot of parts are for these CJs lol

Have a 1979 Jeep CJ5 , AMC 304 , T-18 , Dana 20 , Dana 44 , Dana 30 . Rolling on 35's. Needs tons of work. Just got the T-18 in and a functional Transfer Case with twin sticks. It's a driver now! Glad to be part of the forum!

This site is here for you, any question you have, anything you want to talk about, any statement you wish to make. There should be an area for you to post in. If not, head on over to the Support: Questions, Issues & Suggestions forum and make a request. Each idea and suggestion will be taken into consideration.

  • The forums are for discussion of any topic. We do request that you try and place you post in the appropriate forum. If you mistakenly post in the wrong forum, don't worry. Just click the little 'Report Post' link on the bottom left of the post and someone will take a look at it.
• Gallery
  • Jeep-CJ.com has an extensive user customizable media area. Our media area is free to use for registered members. Users can create albums, share photos and videos. Rate , discuss, embed any and all media as well as send links to friends and more.
• Downloads
  • The Downloads tab at the top of the forum takes you to all the files we have stored or linked to. It is fully user controlled and free for all registered members. You need at least two worth while (no unnecessary post like 'me too', 'bump' etc. to raise your post count) OR are a Donating / Supporting member to download.
• Tech. Articles
  • Submitting technical articles could never be easier. Members have the ability to share and document their knowledge of CJ's or Jeeps in general. A file attachment system is in place for the addition of manuals, images and notes. And of course, this area is member controlled too...
• Documents and Manuals
  • An extensive and large database is provided to share manuals and technical documents on your favorite 4x4, tooling, accessories and just about anything else. Users are free to create categories as needed.
• Classifieds
  • All classified adds are free for all registered members. You need at least two worth while (no unnecessary post like 'me too', 'bump' etc. to raise your post count) OR are a Donating / Supporting member to place an ad. Ads not adhering to the guidelines of Jeep-CJ.com will be deleted without warning. Jeep-CJ.com assumes no responsibility for the validity or the content of any ads. Thanks for the addition! Looking forward to sharing some stories and getting some good info. This is my pretty basic 1980 CJ7 . Bought it in Southern California 20 years ago and it made the trip back to PA with me. May be starting a project soon to rip out the Iron Duke 4-cyl and swap in a 4.0L from a wrecked TJ. We’ll see how it goes!
