Welder help

Hey all, it's been probably 5-6 years since I have run my welder, (hobart 140). It just sat in the shed until the storm that put the shed into the neighbor's yard leaving everything out in the rain. What do I need to do or check to start using it again? Or is it done for? I know I need new wire, that's a given. New whip? Liner? New machine?

The welder should be ok except for corrosion. Need to inspect and clean all the electrical connections focusing on the transformer as it does the most work. I would spray down any switches or rheostats with some good contact clear and cycle them.

I had my plasma arc cutter get partially submerged in a flood. Pulled it out of case, hosed out the dirt, and sat it out in the blazing sun fora few days. Verified everything was totally dry. Cleaned all connections. It fired right up with no damage.

CRC brake cleaner works pretty good also. Just need something that leaves no residue.
