Diff What came stock for rear in 81?

I have a 81 CJ5 that I got in transformation in getting a 350. It had a 6 banger in it. My question is what came stock for rear end in these

Guss my next question would be if the AMC20 would hold up to the 350 just bombing around the roads thanks

If it's stock - no. The axles are two piece and prone to having the hubs spin. There are several kits that replace the 2 piece with 1 piece.

The axle tubes have been know to spin but a simple welding job can fix that. There are also truss kits available.
The gears are stronger than a Dana 44 .

AMC20 is correct, you'll have to figure what gears, could be one of several available

This my 81 CJ5 waiting on one piece axles. cleaned out pumpkin whats everyone putting back in for gear oil front and back thanks

I like the color, looks good.
What one piece axle brand did you go with?
The gear oil is good old standard 80w-90 gear oil but if your axle is equipped with a Limited slip diff. you MUST included the required additive.

I went with the G2 AMC20 Kit. I am Prob going to paint body next winter its a little ruff around the edges
