What in the world would cause this

This is on my soft top rear window. Could the exhaust coming up thru the body cause this?

I have never heard of exaust having an effect on the soft plastic windows, but I guess it could. I thought that sunlight, rocks, and heavy brush had the worst effects.

The jeep is outside all the time. Thinking I might need to find a hard top. I don't want to keep wasting money on soft tops if this is gonna happen.

I saw a vid on you tube where you can use a buffer to polish the windows to get them clear and take scratches out. Not sure what they use as base on the pad our how much it will help of they are too bad though.

I used to do it by hand with my CJ5 's top. I got the polish from a plastic store it worked pretty good.

Could the exhaust coming up thru the body cause this?

I don't want to keep wasting money on soft tops if this is gonna happen.

If you have exhaust coming up through the body, the last thing you need is a hard top.

Fix your exhaust.

Do you use armor all to clean your windows? This kills them because the coating gets baked on. I never use that and my CJ5 soft top is 12 years old and the windows are as clear as day.

I just had a turn down on my muffler. My Body on the jeep looks like Swiss cheese. This past weekend I took it all the way out the back. I never cleaned the windows cause it sounds like everything would wreck them and this is what happened.
