Misc. What is this part?

What is this things attached to my speedometer cable? It was not attached when I got it. It was just hanging by the firewall.

Do you have a Automatic Transmission ? Or did it ever have one? Does it or did it have Cruise Control?
That looks like a Speed Sensor.
It was inline to the Speedometer.

Yup. Speed sensor. Fuel injection systems, like Howell, need them to function.

I figured it out. It's a speed sensor for the cruise control. Unfortunately, most of the cruise control components have been removed. Thanks for all of your ideas.
