That looks like the same one I have and my jeep is a 75.

I could be wrong but I am pretty sure you need to change your proportioning valve when you switch to disk brakes. Your brake pads on your disks are pretty much always in contact with your rotors so it takes less pressure for them to start engaging than it does for your drums. This can make for unsafe conditions with hard braking at higher speeds. The proper proportioning valve for you will not let the front brakes engage before the rear.
I believe disk brakes where an option in 76 so I would think you could just get one from then and bolt it up.

It is possible that I am wrong here. I have owned a jeep for less than a week.

That is an excellent point. I will look into that a bit more. Thanks for the input. At least I now know my prop valve is off a 75. Many thanks!:chug:
