whats it worth to you?

whats it worth to you?
I dont think i could ever sell my cj. I looked for a rust free CJ7 for about 10yrs then found one for less than 2000. with low miles:drool: . I once worked for south texas off-road (jeeps only) as a mechanic for about 6yrs and always wanted a cj but could not afford one. was driving a 79 ford bronco at the time. thought about selling the cj a couple of yrs ago but the wife said that if i sell it id better go with it. well i think i got the hint still have the jeep and the wife:notworthy:.

don't get me wrong we have several nieces and thier cool but, if we have a daughter there is no chance in hell shes gonna work on my jeep with me because my wife will have her all girly and worried she'd break a nail before shes two. trust me my two year old niece is already like that because of my wife and mom, super girly not that theres anything wrong with it, i mean after all they are girls

Don’t sell the kid short. Mechanics are born not made, if she has it, it will show. It won’t make any difference how many shopping trips mom takes her on, she will end up with grease under her nails. And if not, that’s OK too.

my youngest daughter bought a yj for her first vehical. I had to work on it for her, but she picked out the parts. turned out pretty nice.
She loves to go wheeling. her boyfriend has a 4x4 truck.
My grand doughter (12 from my older daughter) says she wants my cj when she gets old enough.
Sorry to tell her it's not going to happen. But I would help her build one.:)

Joy of joys is having the daughter out in the side yard with you wrenching on a Jeep, even greater pride is having her buy one with plans to rebuild it. But as always you will do the majority of the work.
But a man can have no greater pride than when his daughter, on a family wheeling and camping trip, tells her boyfriend to get out of the drivers seat and let her show him how it is done.
She never forgave him for that dent in her flat fender, in fact he still gives her the seat when the wheeling gets rough. Some men understand the way to a long and successful marriage is to listen to the father in law when I pass out some woodsy wisdom, "Son, she built it, let her destroy it."
She sold it a few years back and got a 4 door JK and last month told me it was the wosrt mistake of her life, she is looking for a CJ again. This time I think I will let him work on it.
