Wheel color?

This goes out to all of you with black wheels. I'm thinking of painting my old white waggies black. Should I go gloss or matte black? What finish are most black wheels?

I had a set of black Crager soft 9's on my XJ. The black ones with the round holes, not the NASCAR looking ones. They were gloss black. My personal opinion, I really like the look of the flat black teflon coated ones from American Racing.

flat black rustolium looks good covers well re paints easily. flat hides better than gloss.

Believe mine are more of a Satin rather than flat or gloss. But they are also powdercoated.

I think I would go with semi-Gloss, kinda what ICEMAN has. Spray one of each type and then choose!

I also had the old white wheels. My opinion is, how often will they actually be clean? Therefore, I went with gloss and found I actually got flat when covered in road dust and mud.

I was also going with the retro look, that's why I went with the '74 Renegade Plum. I don't like my paint choice, so I want to see if it looks better with Black wheels. I think I'll try semi-gloss. Maybe I'll order the '74 Renegage decals too. That might break it up alitlle.
