Any one know how I should repair the half hardtop? It has a crack running down both door frame "lips".. I think my top is plastic and not fiberglass... But not sure. I have some bondo body filler and would like to know if that will work or should I use something else?

(I will try to post pics as soon as possible.

I purchased a half hard top and bulkhead. The hard top fits perfectly but the bulkhead is too short and won't reach the sides of the tub walls. I've read that CJ7 tubs are different from 76-80. and that only 81-86 CJ7 tubs will work with the bulkhead.
Now I am looking to modify the sides so that the bulkhead reaches both ends. Perhaps a couple of brackets will do the trick? If anyone has had experience with this please let me know what you did to make it work.

I stripped the half hard top apart (the header and some bumpers) Washed, sanded, washed again, acetoned, then painted everything. when everything was dry I riveted the header back on and used new screws for the "bumpers"

Check it out..

Still trying to figure out a bracket or ???? for the bulk head..

If anyone has any ideas, throw them my way please...

Really old thread but I'm going to sell my half cab and bulk head... Thought I would post here any way when I found this old thread...
