The year makes a little bit of a difference as well as for where the bolts are from the body mounts that need to be moved.

I can't remember the cut off, but I know I have done it with a pre-91 tub vs. a post-91 tub (88 and 95) and I think it is 91 when the rails underneath changed a bit, but can't be sure.

I know that in both cases I moved the body mount in question on the frame and it all worked out well.

It isn't a tremendously hard job, it just takes time to do all the parts/pieces if you want it to look exactly like a CJ.

so can you just drill a new hole in the channel or do you actually have to cut off mount and reweld? everything else seems pretty straight forward

You can do it anyway you like, but if you want to have it look somewhat like factory you cut and weld, if not drill the body and put a bolt through, have seen it done many ways.

id deff like to keep it looking like a cj still.
