Just jumped into a CJ5 project about 2 weeks ago leaning the meaning of jeep. ( Just empty every pocket) bought new front fenders tires seats windshield frame lots of tune up parts and now brakes next will be making it leagal I hope anyway. Still need lots like hood windshield and want to build roll cage to frame priced 120 dom about. $65 for 20' not to bad . It will get a quickie paint job whichever is cheapest. But all in all lots of fun learning and with help from all of you it will be great

Sounds like you have a plan. Post some pics and take some as it progresses. Maybe start a build thread.

I'm just starting to put it back so I can drive it off my trailer.then start repairs on rust then brakes and so on. I've never done a blog not sure I'm that text savvy

That's a C channel frame isn't it? If so you may look into some bracing somewhere along the line. I've been working on a '78 for a couple of years now piecemeal (as funds and time allow) I'll be curious how you're coming along too. Post pics when you can.
