Looks like you have a great foundation to work off of! I don't know the answers to ALL your questions, but with the extensive questions I've asked on here as well as lots and lots of online research and getting hands on my own jeep I have picked up a few things. I do know that if you're going to for to 35's, you will need more lift than what's there. You can do just a body or suspension (or a combo of both) lift just for clearance, but the larger diameter tires will likely rub on the leafs unless you get heavily offset rims or wheel spacers. I do not know how 35's will affect the steering for certain, but since there is a power steering upgrade installed already, I'd think that would help a ton. Ni diea on the shocks. I will need advice when I get that far as well.

My steering box is leaking as well and I just had my rebuild kit arrive today! If it is just a seal leak, the rebuild kit is the way to go, but you can pull it apart and inspect it first to decide if you want to replace it or rebuild obviously.

No idea on the carb recommendation for that motor I have a holley 2300 2bbl on mine, but I have the AMC 304 , I've heard people on here say the Weber is solid and reliable as well.

Excited to see how this goes. Keep us posted and I'm sure more people will chime in.

Good luck and hope some of this info helps! :cj7:
