Wow it does look good however I am confused on what you are doing other than swapping a better tub on?......oh duh stupid me narrow track versuses wide track.:bang:

stupid question but whats the big difference between narrow track and wide track axles? sorry don't mean to hi jack the thread just curious

Well I am using original 77 axles a 79 frame with 4 inches of lift and a 1986 tub and the AMC 304 with quadra-trac everything has been lining up perfect so far!

Looking good, I'm excited to see how it turns out :chug:

My tub is sitting in my garage (well its been back for 2 months) but its in my garage with the new plating done on the floor; ( if you know where the later cj rollbars mounted on the floor thats where it rotted and so they were fixed with heavy plating.. when spring comes around it will be soda balsted then primed and painted the Mocha Brown.

Nice, keep up the work and pictures :chug:

by the way you got a heck of a man cave there :D

Looking good so far!

Mine has been at a bit of a stand still for a while.
But I hope to get back to working on it real soon! (I'll should have a rather lengthy post ready in a week or so)

my project as of now is at a stand still:mad: but ive been tinkering with some parts looking into wheels and tires and other essential things but come spring the soda blasting will start on the body. and does anybody know with narrow-trac axles, can i get a 34x10.50 tire on a 10 inch rim without spacers??? (i think not i just want to double check) and im running super swamper LTB bias if that makes any difference.

I have the SAM-14's, Interco's part number for the tire and they are mounted on 15x8 rims. HOWEVER, I am running wide-track axles and they fit almost perfectly tucked under the factory tub flairs. The rims are 15x8's with 3.75 inches of backspacing. I have about 5 inches of lift give or take with the 1 inch body, 4 inch rear spring lift and front is a spring-over conversion. It clears the SAM-14's, no problems with the swaybar un-pinned and fully stuffed or flexed out. For comparison, my TJ next to it has 37x12.5x17 MTR's under it. The two are very close in height and clearance, neither has stock axles.

just bought another jeep tub hahaha:) its a 79 and is absolutely rust free (i will post more pictures later of just the tub. i am selling the other good black tub its practically rust free except for one little spot. shoot me a message if youre interested:cool: heres some more pics:

The white tub in the pics has only 14,000 original miles. Kind of impressive for 32 years. Welp just got the engine steam cleaned then getting ready for paint from Eastwood. Got a set of rough country shocks and some extended brake lines. I'll keep updating!!!

Wow! I'm impressed. Helluva of job so far. Keep the pictures coming.

does anybody have any idea of the markings or anything that identifies one of the first 3000 golden eagles?? i read about it in a book and i looked at the dates my seats were stamped and they were really early 1977 (Jan,Feb,May so idk if it would be considered as one. does anybody kno of any identification?

Painting the AMC 304 today. ill send pictures when its all done!!

painted the AMC Blue today. painted it with everything on it. kind of a train wreck. but its all good. mission accomplished!!!

well cleaned out the garage and stuck the Jeep in there. and tomorrow i will be tuning it up and putting the rad in place to make it run.
