If I go with the original paint color... Sherwood Green Metallic, I would want someone to lay down the paint as it seems to be one of those things that I am just not capable of.

I will do all the bodywork and get it 90% of the way there... and there is a ton to do.

If I paint it myself, I would probably roll it on as I have done in the past or maybe try to step up to painting with a gun, and use a single stage paint... not sure yet.

I want to run the original Renegade graphics, but am not sure what else it wold look good on. I was thinking bright colors, yellow, orange, red would look good with them, or black... but want to stay true to the original, but I am not totally in love with the original color... I know, I have said a lot of words and said little ;)

I'm In luck since I'm watching both threads :D

I think if I was going to go green it would be the Sherwood Green Metallic. Having to pay someone to spray it sounds a bit costly though. Plus I always here horror stories about waiting for stuff to come back from paint. Whats the roll on system you used for the other Cjs like? Thats something Ive never tried.

That is the original color and it will cost a lot to spray it AND the paint is expensive... so, as I said, I want an affordable solution and I want to enjoy it this summer, so this is it for this year... once it is all back together and all the bolts have anti-seize on them, someone else can take it apart and spray it!!!

I did all the hard stuff!

Not too much to report... working on the rear of the Jeep getting it all bolted up in the right places to make sure the new stuff all plays nice together... clecos are helping the process.

I don't have the pictures posted up on my website at the moment, so I will fill this back in when I get it done later this week.

Wow! That is really nice work! :notworthy: Where do you buy your body parts? They look like really good quality. I should be starting my body repairs soon. Rod

Most of the stuff came from classic enterprises... the hard to find parts... pricey, but very nice quality

Jeep Front Body Supports (Toeboard Support) 76-95

as for the rear fuel filler panel, I think that came from Quadratec and was Crown or something... decent quality, no complaints.

I bought the clecos as well and they worked out well.

Only thing that didn't work out well was the spot welds and drilling them out... I suck at it... and I don't have proper spot weld drilling tools.

I got it all ground down and weld through primered up last night and got it all back together... welding it up next!

You probably have more hours in the firewall of that Cj than I have into the whole body of mine , and it shows. :D Nice work as always. Get any takers off the Craigslist ads yet?

Lots of emails, everyone wants to see it finished and then pay less... I guess that is just the way it goes.

I will have a ton of time into this "tub swap" when it is done... and then I won't want to sell it cause it took too much time, but my daughter really wants a CJ6 with a LJ frame/suspension under it, so that seems like what I will have to end up trading or selling/buying.
