Frame 1986 CJ 7 Frame
*anyone out there
Thanks for the response. Will do. Jeep is $4000 and needs a little bodywork in the normal areas, ie rockers and rear quarters. Drive train is said be very good for the age of the jeep. 87,000 original miles. Feel like it’s worth the 2.5hr drive to for that price. Not the best looking welds but not the worst either.
Better than rust at any rate. Also check for rust on the inside (the section near the motor and Transmission ) by the brake proportioning valve as it rots there as well.

Dana 44 with T-176 . What do you think about the hold up of that frame weld over time? What motor and Transmission ? 86 is the last year and some of them had a vary hard to find wide track Dana 44 rear axle
Do you have more pictures?

New to the site but had a question for anyone how there with good knowledge on CJ frame patch jobs. I’m looking at an 86 CJ7 with a few patch jobs on the frame. They seem solid to me but what’s curious everyone’s thoughts? View attachment 102787View attachment 102788View attachment 102789fr
