Tell me again, why are you not hosting the Rubicon trail??

I haven't made it all the way through without breaking something yet!

Actually to be fair, I have not broken a single thing while "ON" the trail up there, it's either been on the way to or around the trail ;)

I would love to hopefully by next year or the year after!

I'm waiting for Bill billyocup to get his build done first too so he can join in! :D

Though the way hes going, he'll be done before I am! :notworthy:

If anyone needs help about 50 miles around Trinidad, CO, I can help. I have a garage, lots of tools, and towing/trailering capability. We have Autozone, O'Rielly, NAPA, and Carquest in town.

My apologies as I will not be able to attend this meet and trail drive.
Very nice of you to offer your services! Thanks for looking out for our members! :chug:

Your Welcome.

I would really like to attend, yet work will not allow that. For those coming from the south into Colorado on I-25, I am in the first big town here. Feel free to PM me for my number if you need assistance.

Thanks! Some stickers and a windshield banner are on your way if you wish... Give me a PM with your shipping info if you want them... :)

Yes, I too would like to thank you.
Your offer is very much appreciated. :notworthy:

I pre-ran the first day of trail rides to check how long it would take to go over 4 mountain passes and make a big loop. Here's the thread: http://www.jeep-cj.com/forums/f63/engineer-corkscrew-pass-sw-colorado-14887/
I am trying to plan this so we won't have to travel over the same trails multiple time. Variety is good! :D There will be a few times we may have to back track or retrace routes but I am trying to keep it to a minimum.

we will be like the Japanese tourist in a New your city cab. We won't know there are not three UN buildings.:laugh:

You're the man in charge. I will be a happy tourist!

Here's a list of people that are coming for sure:
IOPort51
TheDirtyCJ
Tin Medic
And me, your humble Mountain Guide.:D

I know very few of you live near here and it's hard to haul a CJ across the country. I am hoping CJ can find a way out here. If anyone can get to Ouray one way or another they do rent jeeps here. There are only two trails they don't let you take the rental jeeps on: Poughkeepsie Gulch (they don't want you to break the jeep) and you can't go on BlackBear Pass (they don't want you to fall off a 2000 foot cliff with their jeep)
Also there may be a jeep that is not full. If you would like to come but need to ride with someone post up. Unfortunately it looks like my CJ5 will be full.

Also this thread is getting long. Here is where you can find the motels: http://www.jeep-cj.com/forums/f100/2nd-annual-colorado-jeep-cj-com-trail-ride-12496/#post99982

Reservations are in. I'm ready to go now. :D

Hi Dave,
Looks like Denise and I will be joining you.
It will be either Brown Gulch or Bear town.
I just went over Corkscrew Tuesday. Plenty of traffic up there.
Does Kite lake have fish in it?
As time gets closer I will phone you. Do you have the same number?
Bye for now.

That's great Dan! It'll be good to see you and Denise again.
I'm not sure if Kite Lake has fish. I think it freezes solid each winter. I know Clear Lake has fish. There are usually people fishing there.
I have a new phone number. I will PM you.
