4.3 swap or 4.0 head

Doing some research for when I start my rebuild next year, and I'm looking at engine options right now. I have a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l that's got a decent amount of blow-by goin on, so it needs a rebuild. wheni rebuild I'll also do a 4.0 head, and port and polish it unless i hear that it's not very beneficial on those heads.
My other option is a late 90's, maybe early 2000's blazer that my father in law has with a 4.3. I have a T-5 in Jeep now, so if that'll bolt up to the 4.3 that would be ideal.
I'm undecided between the 2, looking for opinions on the 2 setups. I'll have to be spending money on the rebuild of the 4.2, so im not opposed to spending comparable amounts to swap the 4.3 in if its the better choice of engines.
