71 CJ5 self adjusting brakes

Does the linkage for the self adjust attach to the front or the back shoe? It appears that they we're on the front, but not sure that it was correct. Thanks in advance.....

If you are talking about the cable and adjuster arm, they go on the rear shoe.

Thanks Bass, this one has a linkage instead of a cable. Would that make a difference? 2 small rods with a pivot point at the centre of the shoe.

No difference, the cable took the place of the linkage on later models.
Both go on the secondary shoe (rear).
