Is that for peeling out with the 360 so you don't snap the axel ? :)

Absolutely that’s what got the Jeep in the garage in the first place, I ran out of driveshafts u joints and yokes lol

Also I replaced the 3 o rings in the valve, it does have a flat o ring at the end of the spring on the front which I don’t have, the o rings I used were a #11 #12 #13. The more I think about what it does and how it works I am realizing that it’s only real function is to activate the brake warning light if you have a failure of the front or rear system, the front and rear fluid never meet inside of the block.

If you are removing it, and don't need it, why replace the o rings ? Inquiring mind wants to know. Of course maybe you want to know when your brakes fail maybe? If you had a good automatic Transmission and your brakes failed you could do a Jim Rockford and just toss the Transmission in reverse and spin the wheel and turn the car around on a dime almost. Ask me how I know this, I had a job when I was a teenager at a rent a car place GM made a good Transmission back then

I removed the rubber plug, I am keeping the valve, if I lose brake fluid on one side or the other the shuttle valve will move and actuate the switch to let me know I have a problem. I replaced the o rings to keep the valve from leaking brake fluid everywhere

Also if you are not concerned about having the idiot light function you could remove the whole valve if you wanted, I never really looked at how the valve works til yesterday I assumed that every vehicle with a dual circuit master cylinder needed these valves for whatever reason

I’m surprised how many SOA CJ owners don’t install a traction bar. Good on you.

My Restortation/ restomod of this Jeep started because of my lead foot and the 360 in the engine bay, and back then I still had a spring under but was able to get my super swampers to wrap the springs up enough to break stuff so I knew I have to have the bar, I’m not sure how anyone gets away with not having one unless their springs are rock hard

I'v been kinda busy tearing apart mine, and got away from looking at some of the other builds going on. You're making good progress, and I'm impressed at the quality of your craftsmanship. I wish like hell I could weld like that.

Practice practice practice, I still have a lot to learn on welding myself
